Four Air Force soldiers die in two incidents

The Malawi Air Force has lost for serving officers in a space of two days, with three killed in a plane crash involving the Former Vice President Saulos Chilima and one killed in combat in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The four soldiers are two pilots- killed in the Chikangawa crash along side one technician and another yet to be identified technician who was killed in an ambush in Congo yesterday.

The MDF is yet to release statement on the DR Congo incident which appears to have left some Malawian soldiers wounded.

Malawi, South Africa and Tanzania are the only three SADC countries that have soldiers in DR Congo as part of regional bloc SADC force.

The attack took place in Sake, near Goma in Eastern Congo.
