Chakwera blames climate change for cholera

Blame  climate change for cholera not his ineptitude of his leadership that has led to over 30 Malawians dying everyday, President Lazarus Chakwera has said.

Chakwera now a legend in making excuses and blaming others has accused ‘cadets of arresting Martha Chizuma’, Ukraine war for shortage of everything and mercenaries on social media for calling out thievery in his administration.

Quoted by the BBC with at least 500 million listernership across the world, Chakwera says cholera which has been ravaging the country since March 2022 is now linked to climate change.

The President says rising waters due to change in weather patterns has increased the cholera cases across the country.

The President does not say that cholera for the first time has been through cold and dry months and his administration did not tackle it at the source which was Nkhatabay district.

Government also took time to declare state of disaster and now deaths are close to hitting 2,000.

“He is doing nothing because it is mainly the poor that are dying. He only acted on Covid when his Ministers started dropping dead,” said a politician from opposition who did not want to be named.
