Disgraced former Director of Public Prosecutions Steven Kayuni has been appointed Principal Secretary- Legal for the Ministry of Homeland Security.
Secretary to the President and Cabinet Colleen Zamba has written to Kayuni and informed him of his new appointment.
“The letter has been dispatched and I am sure Kayuni has recieved it,” said our source at the Office of the President and Cabinet.
President Lazarus Chakwera removed the DPP from office for abuse of office after he ordered Malawi Police Service to arrest Anti Corruption Bureau Director General Martha Chizuma.
The ACB obtained a warrant of arrest to arrest Kayuni over K5 million allowances he obtained for a trip he never undertook.
