Khumbo Kachali, UTM pleads for relief

Former Vice President Khumbo Kachali and UTM have asked Malawians to join hands and contribute to mitigate the impact of cyclone Freddy on those affected.

Kachali who heads his Freedom Party said he was shocked with the levels of devastation saying Malawians from all sectors should mobilise to help out their compatriots.

UTM publicity Secretary Felix Njawala has asked the party supporters and people of goodwill to use its Kuwala Account to donate any sums that might help those affected.

At least 72 people have been confirmed dead but the figure could go high as flooding is being reported in Nsanje and Chikwawa districts.
