The Living Word Evangelistic Church leader Prophet David Mbewe has accused the Malawi Police Service of being used by politicians to harrass him.
Police raided Mbewes house in Machinga on Friday and spent hours searching different places.
National Police spokesperson Peter Kalaya has confirmed the Police search but said he could not divulge more as investigations are going on.
Prophet Mbewe as been a critic of President Lazarus Chakweras administration and typical of government reaction they sent Police.
Chakweras administration has arrested social media critics and political opponents using the Police service.
Mbewe says the Police questioned him about his fleet of vehicles and if he was using his house as a hotel.
He says he will not speaking out the faliures by Chakweras administration.
