President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera on Monday arrived in Washington DC for the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit that US President Joseph Biden is hosting from Tuesday 13th December 2022.
State House media post state that the President was welcomed by Sam Kawale Minister of Agriculture, Malawi Ambassador to the United States, Justice Esme Chombo, and other senior Government officials that are part of Malawi’s delegation to the Summit.
The USALS will focus on renegotiating the parameters of investment and trade between Africa and the USA in the context of the recently ratified Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
