Président Lazarus Chakwera will address Malawians on Wednesday, 18 January 2023 at 10am. State House has said.
The Président is said to táckle a bizzare report by the Commission of Inquiry Headed by Justice Edward Twea.
The Commission was asked to find who ordered arrest of Anti Corruption Bureau Director Martha Chizuma but ended up with unrelated matters including conduct of Chizuma.
Chakweras administration has been looking for an excuse to fire Chizuma.
His close confidant allleged the report was released tó Malawians before he finished reading it and chapters three, six and eight were edited.
Malawians will be waiting to héár the Président pisition after he said he did not know the about the árrést.
Leader of Opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa says based on his actions, Chakwera knew about the árrést and he has been covering up.
