Homeland Security Minister Ken Zikhale Ng’oma as appealed for more support towards those affected by cyclone Freddy.
Zikhale was speaking on Tuesday when he recieved a donation from Santa Plaza which donated assorted items to Chilobwe in Blantyre.
Zikhale Ng’oma hailed the company for responding to President Lazarus Chakweras call to assist those affected.
“I am very grateful to Santa Plaza for responding to His Excellencys call. This is very good because when we start ourselves to give the international community will definitely join us to give as well,” said Zikhale Ng’oma.
The Minister assured Malawians that his Ministry was taking measures to ensure only deserving people recieve the donated items.
“We are working hard to ensure all donated items are secure and reach the people,” said Zikhale Ng’oma.
Ahmad Ali, Santa Plaza Managing Director said his company will continue to assist where possible as its customers were among those affected.
